Who it is for
Lazy Draw is made for people who want to practise regularly and cannot manage it, usually for two reasons at once: not knowing what to do when the sketchbook opens, and not daring to start again after a break. Skill has nothing to do with it.
This app is drawn from that experience.
What it does
- A die that picks for you. You roll, it draws an exercise, and the question of what to do stops being one.
- Exercises taken from tutorials. Drawing, and not only from observation: composition and page layout are part of it.
- Your own exercises. Whatever you want to work on joins the list and enters the draw.
- Time spent, adding up. Per exercise and over months, to see where the practice stands.
- A calendar with no streak. You see what you did, with no counter that breaks.
- Fully offline. No connection needed, at any point.
What it does not do
- No drawing tool. You do not draw inside the app. It supports the practice, it does not replace it.
- No streak. Deliberately absent: it contradicts everything else.
- No grade, no correction. The app offers an exercise, it does not judge what comes out of it.
- No ranking, no sharing. Nothing to publish, nobody to compare yourself with.
- No account, no syncing. Everything lives on the phone.
- No iPhone version. Android only.
- No advertising, ever.

What it costs
Lazy Draw is paid for, through a yearly, not monthly subscription. The price and the length of the free trial are on its Play Store listing, which is the only place kept up to date. The subscription is handled by Google Play: it renews from one year to the next, it can be cancelled at any time, and the app warns you before it renews so that nobody is charged by surprise.
When the trial ends, the app stops writing but it still reads and exports for life. Your drawings and your history stay yours, whether you subscribe or not. The subscription unlocks writing.
What it knows about you
Nothing. There is no account, no server, no tracker, no ad network. Your drawings and your history are stored on the phone and only leave it if you export them yourself. The details are in the privacy policy, which is in French for now.
Frequently asked questions
Do you draw inside the app?
No. You draw wherever you like, on paper or with the tool of your choice. Lazy Draw holds the practice, not the pencil.
Where do the exercises come from?
From drawing tutorials, composition and page layout included. You can also write your own, and they enter the draw.
Why is there no streak?
Because a broken streak is the number one reason people abandon a daily practice.
Do I need to know how to draw?
No. The app judges nothing and grades nothing.
Do I have to create an account?
No. There is no account, and there never will be.
Is there an iPhone version?
No, Lazy Draw only exists on Android.
