Lazy Mind Become a tester

Page theme

Test an app and keep one

Every app from the studio is tried out by a small group of people, once it is out on the Play Store. You install it like any other app, you use it for two weeks, and you tell me how it went: what helped, what was missing, what annoyed you, or simply what you thought of it. As a thank you, the Lazy Mind app of your choice is yours for life. There is nothing to pay, no form to fill in and no account to create: an email is enough, as places allow.

I would like to test an app

Nothing happens when you click? Write straight to contact@lazy-mind.com.

How it works

  1. You write to the studio to ask for a place. One line is enough.
  2. You get a message when a place opens up, with the app to install. It downloads from the Play Store, like any other.
  3. You use it for two weeks, normally, in your everyday life. That is what is useful: no methodical testing, just real use.
  4. You tell me how it went, by email, in two lines or in two pages, whichever you prefer. What helped, what was missing, what annoyed you.
  5. You get a code that gives you the Lazy Mind app of your choice, for life.

What I ask in return

Nobody downloads an unknown studio whose listing has no reviews. The first reviews are the hardest to get. That is why I give the app away.

What I ask for is a review on the Play Store. A few minutes of your time.

I cannot make it a condition: Google forbids offering anything for a review, and it gets developer accounts closed. So you get the app either way. But it is what I ask for, and it is what helps me most.

What a useful review looks like

« Great app » helps nobody. Three or four lines are enough, if they say:

A critical, argued review helps me more than an enthusiastic, vague one. If something is wrong, say so.

What happens to your address

It is used to keep you a place and to write to you, nothing else. It is passed to nobody, goes into no mailing list, and is deleted at the end of the test if you do not want to take part in the next ones. You can ask for it to be deleted at any time by writing to contact@lazy-mind.com.

Frequently asked questions

If the app is already out, what am I for?

Making it better. A published app is not a finished app: that is when real use starts, and that is when the problems nobody had seen show up.

Do I need to know about computers?

No, quite the opposite. The most useful feedback comes from people who use the app knowing nothing about it and get stuck on something.

How long does it take?

The time you would have spent on the app anyway, plus ten minutes to write your feedback.

Can I test several apps?

Yes, as places allow each time. The free app stays one app, however many tests you take part in.

What if I cannot see it through?

That is fine and there is nothing to justify. A quick word to say so is enough.

Which phones?

Android only. The studio's apps do not exist on iPhone.
